1. Hi Francesco, how are you? I would kindly ask you to introduce yourself to the Bellspiration readers? Good morning Belma, and thank you for this interview. I'm fine thanks and you? I am currently in Germany in the city of Dresden to finish my fourth Erasmus. Soon, however, I will be forced to return to Rome to finish my master's studies. It is my pleasure to introduce myself to the readers of Bellspiration, to whom I send a warm greeting. My name is Francesco Alimena, I am 23 years old and I live in Rome, Italy. I graduated with honors in 2019 in Interpreting and Translation from SSML Gregorio VII University in Rome. I am currently studying International Relations in English at the LUMSA University of Rome. I speak 5 languages: Italian, English, Spanish, German, and Russian thanks to my university studies and related Erasmus experiences. During my university career, I won 5 scholarships that allowed me to travel and study in Germany (Dresden, Bavaria) and Russia (St. Petersb

1) Dear Des, you speak 5 languages. Can you share with us which ones? I think speaking different languages is a true treasure, what does that mean to you? Do you have advice for others who think that learning other languages is hard and have fear of not using them correctly? How would you inspire them? My mother tongue is Albanian, but my mother is francophone and raised me in French. Thus, from a very young age, I understood that speaking several languages is a beautiful asset. In Kosovo, especially in Prishtina, everyone speaks English, it is more than a language, it is a working tool, and many young people communicate in English. I also studied at the American University, so it is only natural that I mastered this language. In high school, I went to a college where we were taught Turkish as a foreign language. Very few students learned it, but I immediately thought it was a very good opportunity to learn my grandmother’s language! At university, I had the chance to study Italian,

BELLSPIRATION CLUB - Burak Gün: Living abroad for months is important for a young person to question their perspectives! (Part 3/4)

1) Dear Burak, would you share with us more about your international experiences? With pleasure! So far I’ve attended many things abroad: from conferences to language schools, workshops to student exchanges, international projects to cultural events… Particularly my experiences in Bordeaux (2017) and Geneva (2019-2020) were quite fruitful. I mean, seminars or workshops for a few days or a week are good, but living in a country for months is actually way more important for a young person to question their perspectives and improve them with what they learn(t) throughout their stay abroad. These two were indeed important milestones for my life! Bordeaux was my first non-touristic stay abroad, and I studied French there — just 10 months after starting to learn French. It was quite a challenge because my level was barely enough (B2) to survive over there, I thought. However, I even handled the situation when I was hospitalized there (it’s fine now, I just got stitched up a bit, and now have

BELLSPIRATION CLUB - Elida Korać: When you learn Turkish intensively, you start thinking like them (Part 3/4)

1) Dear Elida, you mentioned in the first interview that you are an "atypical PR" and that you enjoy your job. Can you explain to us why this is so and what makes your job so special? Dealing with public relations is truly an interesting, dynamic, and challenging job. Of course, it requires precision, high professionalism where it is important to be in the power of good communication skills. Being PR in a Cultural center that organizes up to 350 programs per year makes that job even more interesting. :) Since I knew I wouldn’t be doing my tasks only from the office,  next to the computer, it made my workdays even more different and I enjoyed it. From the first moment, I had a great desire to be involved in the whole process, from the first step, the process of preparing,  to the realization, because in that way I get a complete view of the program or activity that takes place in any of our halls, on small or big stages. So in addition to public relations, there are protocol,

BELLSPIRATION CLUB - Michael Clark: I put a guitar in my hand and all of a sudden my confidence jumps up! (Part 3/4)

1)  Hi Michael :) You made a YouTube channel a few months ago, right? How it all started? What content can we find there? Is it hard to edit the video and how much time you need for that? How does it feel to be a Youtuber? Yes, that is right! With lockdowns and everything else in this last year, I decided it might be a good idea to put my energy and focus into something creative. It’s also been hard to connect with people physically during these times, but when people watch my videos and just hear and see me talking to them, it makes me feel like we’re more connected. I have a mixture of content on there; I started off with several musical performances, and a book review video, and recently I have been focusing a lot on playing two of my favourite videogames while I just talk to the camera about myself, my week and my thoughts. These are very relaxed conversational videos, and even though I don’t have many people watching, it is a nice way to share a little bit of myself online. I have
