BELLSPIRATION CLUB - Tania Gonzalez: While I have “failed” to society I am winning with God! (Part 1/4)
1) Dear Tania, you are a very special soul to me... But who is really Tania, what does she dream about, what does she like and what does she do? For the readers of the Bellspiration blog, introduce yourself, so we can all get to know you.
Belma you are too kind and beautiful! & thank you for this opportunity to share a little about myself. What can I say about Tania Gonzalez? I am really just a simple, crazy, and creative girl. I dream of interacting with new cultures, exploring new lands, tasting all their foods, and talking over some coffee. I enjoy genuine conversations. I was never aware of the importance of communication until I had the privilege of visiting Sarajevo. Having conversations with no phones or any other distractions on your hands was new for me. I enjoy getting to know people, not through small talks or their cool feed, but by hearing their hearts. I like taking pictures and creating art that provokes questions through them. I love anything with nature, sunsets, mountains, beaches, and food 😂. I am currently working at a junior high school as a tutor/aide, where I help students stay on task with their class/homework. Some of those students only speak Spanish and I guide them through their work. The reason I’ve stayed at this job is that I also get to encourage these young kids and listen to their stories. Some of them do not have parents and others do not have a positive adult role model. But when I’m not Ms. Gonzalez, I’m just a daughter, a friend, and a photographer. I photograph mainly anything that involves the wedding world - engagements, elopements, and weddings are my thing. And once in a rare while, I’m a resident in Sarajevo💛.
2) What is "Success" by your definition and how to achieve it?
The definition of success has changed over the course of my life. I used to think it was what social media and my parents encouraged me to strive towards. Get a title that proves your value to the world, owns a house, have a job that pays well and retire with $$$$ in my bank account.
But one day I thought what if I had no title, no house, and no money. Would this make me a failure as a human? Is my purpose in life solely to acquire those things? So if I achieve all that, am I done in life? What’s next? What’s my success, my purpose?
“What good will it be for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul?” Success for me is definitely achieving more in life than what this world or humans can give. Living in “Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control,” is my success. & I can only find this with God in my life. While I have “failed” to society I am winning with God. I didn’t get the grade I wanted, but I still have love and peace because God tells me I’m more valuable than that grade. When a person at work said false accusations of me, I chose to forgive and live in kindness because God teaches me to do so.
Success in reality for me is living in God’s purpose. Loving others, serving others, learning to love myself, and just continue to grow in whatever task is in front of me.
3) Thank you from the bottom of my heart for being a member of the Bellspiration Club and for sharing your experiences with us in the coming weeks and inspiring us! What are your expectations from the Bellspiration Club?
My expectation is to shed some of my light on others. I’m definitely not perfect nor the coolest person in the world. I am human and I have learned some things throughout my journey. If I can help and inspire others to a better and more fulfilling journey, why not share?!
